In 1925, Frank Pepe became the founder, and the father, of Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana. Frank Pepe later became the father of Elizabeth and Serafina. These sisters operated the business until the early 1990’s, when they passed it down to their kids, Anthony, Francis, Lisa, Bernadette, Genevieve, Jennifer and Gary. It was 1972 when President Richard Nixon officially declared Father’s Day a nationwide holiday, but here at Pepe’s, we had been celebrating our fathers long before this time. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana has been serving families for generations. We’d like to take this time to thank all of the families that have supported us along the way. The following pictures were taken and sent in by photographer and father, Tony Spinelli. He tells us that the photos were taken, “after a great pie at Pepe’s.” They feature his son Anthony Spinelli and his daughter Gia Spinelli on May 22nd, 2014.
This year, Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 19th. We understand that shopping for Father’s Day can be difficult, especially if you find that it’s hard to come up with something other than power tools, or things alike to give as gifts. But we’ve made getting a unique and enjoyably Father’s Day gift as easy as pie, pizza pie that is! Pepe’s gift cards are now available to purchase and use at any one of our locations.
We hope that you, and your dads, come to visit us sometime soon!
