The Where Angels Play Foundation is an example of communities reaching out to help others when they need it the most. Disasters like Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, and the shooting tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut rocked the communities the struck and sent waves disbelief across the country. Those waves also initiated a response. The desire to help those effected by those tragedies. That desire was the genesis of Where Angels Play.
The idea; the Sandy Ground Project, Where Angels Play
Since we built three playgrounds in the gulf in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, it is only natural that we should build some playgrounds here in New Jersey for our own communities. Not only in New Jersey, but in New York and Connecticut who were also devastated by Hurricane Sandy. In addition, in an effort to honor and provide a lasting and living memorial to the 20 children and 6 teachers killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School, we should build 26 playgrounds and dedicate each one to each of those slain.( From the Website )
By visiting Pepe’s Pizza in Danbury on August 13, 2014 and bringing in the voucher at this link to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in Danbury, CT. We will donate 15% of your purchase to Where Angels Play.
