The esteemed foodies at the Connecticut Magazine recently published an article about the best pizza in Connecticut. The article, which is published in the March 2015 issue of the magazine, defies traditional ranking schemes since it omits numerical ordering. Instead, the article delineates four different categories that demonstrate unique criteria. The five categories are: “Legends,” which describes royalty in the local pizza realm; “Legends in the Making,” which indicates the rising stars of Connecticut pizza; “Beer Bar Pizza,” which denotes the places to go for a delicious beer and pizza combo; “Unusual Places,” which specifies the unorthodox locations to grab a stellar pie; and “Best of the Rest,” which lists, well, the other great pizzerias in the state.
We at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana are proud to be included in the “Legends” category of the Connecticut Magazine article. We are honored to be the first among the terrific Connecticut pizzerias to receive a flattering review in the article. The pizzas we create today contain the flavors and traditions that our grandfather, Frank Pepe, mastered 90 years ago and we are proud to carry on his legacy.
